What Women Want? – LGFG Fashion House

The most famous www in the world is not the “world wide web”, it’s “what women want”. And oh no – we are not going to chat about that legendary movie with Mel Gibson starring. We can’t give you the full pleasure of knowing because women still remain a mystery to us, even though more than half of our company is comprised of them. But we asked them what are their expectations for dating and how they’d like to see men dressing during the dates! I bet that’s something you’d like to continue reading… here are some rules of getting it right.

1. Keep it simple

The most important for a women is that a man is clean. You should look like you have a good taste, but in an effortless way. Don’t ever be too overdressed. If the place where the date night happens doesn’t have a dress code then a shirt and jeans are usually fine. A blazer on top if its a bit colder or the dress code needs it. A suit is over the top for a date. Mix it up with a well-fitted tailored separates. A slim trouser, shirt and a sharp blazer is a fail-safe look. Wear it with clean shoes but nothing too shiny or glittery. A classic brogue or Derby shoe will be perfect.

2. Relax, but still care

If you’re a streetwear guy, then well – be a streetwear guy. Just instead your daily sweatshirts and sweatpants combo just go for an upgraded version. Try a cropped smart truer and a button-down Oxford shirt. This will work better than wearing a longline T-shirt and bomber jacket with your trainers.

3. No show-off’s

Do not be a show-off. Nobody likes a show-off. So choose your words and accessories carefully. Massive showpieces and loads of diamonds may earn you some likes on Instagram but you’ll get little from a discerning date. Keep things simple and geared towards the classic. Keep in mind that it is still possible to channel a prestige brand without peacocking. No big logos are allowed. A well-dressed man respects brands for their quality and fit, but won’t buy something purely for the sake of a name.

4. Don’t be a copycat

This one applies to all the men who like to copy the footballers haircuts. Just don’t. Some men think that copying an athlete’s thing is an easy way to look cool, but actually it makes them look like they are trying too hard. Instead play it safe by sticking to the haircut that suits you. As simple as that.

5. It’s all in the fit

Wear well-fitting clothing. A few inches here and a couple of inches there can make a huge difference to both your overall appearance and the way you feel during the date. You know the drill, if it doesn’t already sit right, then take it up with your tailor to ensure a glove fit. 6. Your signature perfume

The way to a girls heart is through her nose. So find your signature scent. It can take a while but if you have found it, stick to the special one forever. Trust me, she will remember you every time she smells that fragrance! But keep in mind to never overdo with perfume.

7. Shoes make the man

Make sure you have a fitting pair of shoes for the occasion. And most importantly, make sure they are in good condition! There’s nothing worse than your significant other turning up looking hot from the ankles up, only to let themselves down by donning a pair of scuffed up old brogues that are doing that weird “duck mouth” thing at the front. Your shoes should be clean, freshly polished and in good condition. And even if you are not into the formal style and prefer to wear trainers – these too have to be clean!

8. Be confident

And last but not least – confidence is a key. If you try to wear something that you’re not comfortable in, it will show. This is that one thing that’s more attractive than any item of clothing.
