Showing some ankle – LGFG Fashion House

Although Autumn is on its way like a Japanese high speed bullet train, we do still have a few more weeks to enjoy this summer. LGFG Fashion House is super excited for some new amazing quality Scabal cloths that arrived for the Autumn suit season, but we are not yet giving up on writing the summer style articles. This time we opted on how to wear your ankle-length pants and shoes with no socks. It does look easy but it has some rules you might not be aware of.

The number one rule on going sockless is: always wear some “invisible” socks! This is a matter of hygiene! Bare feet… we don’t need to explain the downside; also most guys don’t have  soft and silky heels. What is an invisible sock you ask? These are the socks that will cover only your toes and a lower part of your heel. For comfort reasons always invest in a pair that has some rubber strips on the inside. You wouldn’t enjoy that feeling when you are smiling outside but crying inside cause your sock is slowly sliding under your heel during some important meeting or a first date. Phh… It’s the worst.

The “invisible” socks

The second thing you have to think is the cut of the pants. The length of the pant is important  ’cause you don’t want to look like you are wearing the small pants from your younger days. Trousers should finish at or just above the ankle. The best way to pull off a sockless look is to provide just a hint of leg. And keep in mind that the wide leg ankle pants are harder to style than the slim fit, but not impossible. You should know what looks best on you. If you don’t, then our style consultants are more than happy to help you – that’s why these occupations exist after all. So don’t be afraid to ask for help in style matters.

The best shoes to style your ankle length trousers for chic results are loafers. For a business-casual look combine them with a dapper shirt and a tie. For an evening or a special occasion add a stylish blazer. Ankle length trousers can look good with sneakers as well. But always keep in mind the occasion and the dress code.

We do love the colorful sock style a lot. But we also keep in mind that we can practice that look most of the year. So why not try something different and a bit carefree for the remaining summer? We promise – the result is just as chic!

Yours truly,
