How to care for your shoes

There are some essential steps for keeping your LGFG leather shoes looking fresh for an extended period of time.

Firstly, and to the surprise of some who haven’t been informed on this, leather shoes should not be worn on consecutive days. Often we don’t see the shoes in the same way we do shirts or pants for example, yet many of wouldn’t wear the same one of those on back to back days. Shoes need a good day to breathe and dry off in between wearings (from both internal and external moisture), and for this reason having multiple pairs of “go-to” shoes will drastically increase the life of the shoes and in the long run save you money. When you take your shoes off, DO NOT dry them using a radiator or some alternative source – let them dry naturally, best of all on a shoe tree. Continue reading “How to care for your shoes” »

Monochrome Mode: ON

We really love the brave men who are not afraid to play with different fashion styles and of course colors! Yes – wear this funky pink shirt with your blue suit, let your socks with colorful stripes and spots peep out during your serious business meeting and you should totally surprise your loved one (and maybe even yourself) by wearing that ultra chic colorful patterned butterfly tie during some magical evening. But sometimes we all have the feeling that nah – this is not the day and time to embrace the pinks and yellows in our lives. Then we both – men and women look for something a bit more laid back. The three-piece suit

We all know that everything new that fashion brings us is actually a forgotten old. This is the circle of fashion. Only some changes of colors, materials and patterns may come. And the ones who are not lucky enough to have access to these secret precious vintage treasures will need to build their own valuable wardrobe staples. Continue reading “The three-piece suit” »

“It is totally impossible to be well-dressed in cheap shoes.”

Summer may bring its occasions to walk around in our favorite pair of sneakers or flip flops but in the Fall we have to put on our adult shoes.

A great shoe can really make or break almost any look. Whether you are heading to an important business meeting, being dragged to a wedding this fall or are asked to a last minute black-tie event – your shoes and the condition of them are of utmost importance.

We are proud to introduce the new LGFG Fashion House autumn/winter 2015 handcrafted shoe collection which is all about city smart. Serious sartorial style is layered into each pair of these men’s smart shoes, lace ups, ankle boots and brogues. The ankle boot was one of the strongest footwear items on mens fashion week designer fashion shows this season.

Next to great brogue detailing and the monk shoe strapping there are some surprising color combinations for this fall. We don’t like to be too serious all the time and neither doesn’t fashion. Next to the classical black and different shades of brown there are some surprise guests at this party: mystical green, plum tone purple and fabulous fuchsia. Also you’ll find some amazing textures like the croc print as well in this season’s new releases!

So here are the dress shoes all men should wear this fall, because let’s face it, it’s probably time for an upgrade. Flip through our favorite formal shoes for men this season and get ready to be impressed.
