Organize Your Closet
Seriously, do it. A custom tailored suit is made just for you, and should be treated with the same love as went into making it. It’s not just about being clean, but saving money–a lot of it.
Proper care to men’s suits, ties, shoes, shirts, and belts ensures that the pieces look as good as the day you bought them and say what you want them to say about you–you’re organized, detail oriented, and responsible. While your tailored men’s blazer shows your professionalism, the fading of the colour or stretching of the shoulders won’t, losing the power the suit gives you in the first place. Here are a few easy rules to help your look, mind, and wallet.
LGFG Fashion House offers custom tailored business suits. Hand tailored and delivered to your home or office.
Keep Your Suit Bags
Either keep the storage bag your suit came in or get one for every suit. These bags ensure protection from dust, dirt, bugs, and light, which fade the colour.
Room to Breathe
Leave room between your suits and shirts. For an overstuffed closet, move seasonal pieces like wool overcoats or summer linen suits either to storage or a different closet from what you’re wearing regularly. Leaving space helps to reduce wrinkles and keep your tailored suits in good condition by reducing wear that comes from the wools rubbing together.
Wood Hangers
Hangers should mimic the shoulder, allowing for the blazer to hang slack without pulling at the seams. Wire and plastic hangers won’t suffice. All your hangers should be wooden to maintain the shape of your carefully tailored seams.

Hang your pants
You may hang your pants over the horizontal bar of your wooden suit hanger (which has a sloped shoulder bar and a straight bar below), but it is best to use a felt-lined clamped hanger. The clamp ensures a firm crease and reduces the production of wrinkles.
Ties
The easiest way to store ties is also the best way to protect against wear. Fold the tie in half and roll up from the narrow end. Ties can be stored in a pull-out box on a free part of shelf space, where the patterns and colours are easy to see.
Shoes
Keep your shoes in boxes and clean after wear. They don’t need to be shined every time you take them off, but lightly wipe dirt and moisture from them to keep your shoes in top shape, keeping you looking good and allowing them to have a long life. To make it easy to find the right shoes, simply put a little note in the corner of the box so you can see which shoes it contains so you don’t waste time searching when you’re on the move.
Prioritize
As said before, the key to keeping an organized closet is to put away off-season suits, coats, and shoes. This will give you more room in the closet for your clothes to breathe, and make it easier for you to get out of the house in good time, looking your best. Organizing your closet isn’t just to keep your clothes in good shape, but to free up extra time during your day.
