It’s what’s inside that counts
What are the first things going through your mind when thinking about your next bespoke suit? Probably choosing the colour, or the fabrics? But something at least as important as the fabric, is lining. Lining – which inside the suit and tends to be the afterthought in choosing the suit, is yet another important detail which makes your high class suit… well – high class.
Functionally, linings are important because they provide a clean inside finish and conceal interfacing, padding, the raw edges of seams and other construction details. It has some other roles as well – it reduces wear on the suit, and thus extends its life. The texture of the lining -its composition is important as well. For example if you like to wear your cashmere sweater or vest under your sports coat, then only a good lining will help you to maintain the new look of your cashmere.
So yes, your lining is so much more than just the overlooked inner layer. For us in LGFG Fashion House, a lining is something that adds that little extra something to the stylish bespoke suit. While it could be monochrome, have patterns such as floral or paisley, it can also be something that describes you. It could be funny, it can reflect where you’ve traveled or what you do outside of work, and ultimately it can make your garment that much more personalized, and exclusive to you- and only you.
This is the exact reason why LGFG Fashion House offers many different options for lining. Because even if your work is dead-serious and you need to have a certain look in the office – you can still wear your individuality on the inside. So, you are the guy with a great sense of humour? Why not show it out by wearing some funny lining? Your hobby includes playing play guitar? Why not advertise it on your suit lining. You love dogs? Let everyone see that (you know how one dog lover attracts another one, right?). Or maybe your passion is golf? Are you focused on earning millions of dollars? You love to go fishing? Or perhaps yachting? We got it all!
