A day in the life of an LGFG Clothier

Being an LGFG clothier is probably one of the most unique jobs in Canada. First of all, no two days are ever the same, and the people you deal with are the best of the best. We work in a high-paced environment and dress a distinguished and impressive clientele who often border on (and are) well-known and in highly visible roles!

A typical day begins around 8:30 in the morning when our clothiers are ecstatically checking emails for any client messages from overnight. Some are good and some aren’t: while we welcome the plethora of happy feedback from clients about compliments they got in their new LGFG bespoke suit at the latest event, sometimes clients also get busy and have to reschedule; when you’re dealing with the busiest people on the planet, that’s to be expected.  Another typical feature of an LGFG day is a morning mentoring call to discuss the previous day, any client issues that should be addressed, and of course general sales and tailoring coaching. We also take this time to prepare prospect lists so that we’re prepared for today and also for tomorrow.

By 9:30 or 10 AM our clothiers are hustling to clients’ offices. You’ll find us at law firms, banks, head offices of corporations, doctor’s offices and anywhere else where busy, successful people spend their working hours! We live by the mantra of saving time for busy executives, and our clients love us for it. Sometimes we’ll spend the bulk of a day in the same office, and other days we are bouncing around from office to office depending on where our super powers are needed!

While our clothiers are dressing up the most influential people during the day, we are also actively growing our business. One of the benefits to being an LGFG Clothier is networking the groups of people we serve to gather referrals. Once we make you look good and feel good, we’d like to do the same for your friends. Therefore, the afternoons are usually spent calling our “new friends” and introducing us and making connections to grow our business. We pride ourselves on our personal responsibility and that includes growing our client base in order to be able to serve more people with our unique and beautiful product and our convenient service.

Some folks may already have a tailor set up, while others are excited to get our call because their friends have been boasting about us to them already! Some days bring great results, some days plant seeds for tomorrow and some days build character, but every day is a learning experience leading to personal growth for our clothiers. No matter what, we always learn and we always improve for tomorrow. After the workday we upload our orders and start the design process of your beautiful bespoke garment(s)!

The fun for our designers, tailors and technicians starts right there. Even though this is “outside” the day of the LGFG Clothier, quite often our technical team in England comes back to us on email or Skype to let us know they’ve suggested some professional feedback on the suit we are designing for our client, and we usually take their advice! It’s nice to have a support team working for us, dedicated to our clients satisfaction and our clothiers are in touch with our tailors every day to impress our client each and every time!
