Summertime Sharpness
If we’d have to name one classic must-have piece of clothing for summer it would definitely be a pair of white pants. And today we are going to discuss what are the rules of wearing a pair of those light colored pants. And no, by these rules we don’t mean that you mustn’t spill a food on your cool trousers. You need to know a few rules before deciding to wear these summertime sharpnesses.
1. It is important to choose the right color. Yeah – for most men color red is just red but if you ask a woman you’ll find out it can actually be amaranth, rose, ruby, beetroot, brick, burgundy, cherry, coral or ferrari red (yes, we know you knew that one!). And actually the same difficulties apply with a white color and as bad as it already is, not every tone suits good to all of us. We advise to choose a creamy shade of white which is softer and easier to wear than the bright white tone. Which of course doesn’t mean that you can’t be one of these rare people who wears the crystal clean white out perfectly (and doesn’t even spill anything on it). The creamy white is also good cause it matches with most colors, including brown, camel, red and oranges. The bright white needs to perform together with cooler tones like black, purple, gray and shades of blue. So before you buy a pair of white pants you should also check your wardrobe – which colors you’ll mostly find from there. That will help you decide which tone is easier for you to wear and combine with your other wardrobe essentials.
2. Color-blocking is a good idea. From head to toe all white can be intriguing and never out of fashion but it could also make you look like a groom on his wedding day or that you came straight from a summertime popular white-themed party. Head to toe white look is good and easy but it is better for your holidays or celebrations and not such a good decision if going to a business meeting. Block up your whites! White, like color black, is such a great color to contrast stronger shades. This contrast will immediately make you look sharp without having to think too much about putting your outfit together.
3. Choose your footwear carefully. A pair of white pants is a big statement enough – you shouldn’t wear it together with too bold footwear. The best option for a more sophisticated look is classical neutrals and color blocking again – for example with brown loafers.
4. Check the fit. Especially if you have a lean build – consider slim fit for more flattering look. Nothing messes up an outfit more than those baggy, sloppy pants. To have a guaranteed best fit for your body type then tailored pants are the way to go. This is where LGFG Fashion House comes in.
