Ladies – suit up! – LGFG Fashion House

We all know by now that it’s classy and elegant for a lady to wear a suit to work (especially if the work requires one) but in our opinion, suits for ladies are no longer just an office attire. We will turn our eyes to the famous ladies around the world to get you inspired on how to style your perfectly fitted blazer that different occasions call upon. And some occasions might even surprise you! So here are the list of places you could actually wear a suit during your spare time:

1. Red carpet

Well yeah, most of us are not actually invited to the big, glamorous Hollywood red carpet parties but we all have some kind of red carpet events in our hometown, don’t we? A boutique opening, art exhibition, fashion shows etc. Get inspired by the one and only Angelina Jolie who always likes to be different from the crowd. And she has done so successfully, by wearing a suit on the red carpet many times. Our eyes are inspired looking at a strong woman like her!

2. Weddings

Most of the time if a woman gets the invitation to a wedding party, the first thought in her head will be which dress to wear. BUT – imagine quite a big crowd of women all wearing pastel and floral dresses. You wouldn’t want to actually fit in there, now would you? It is such a refreshing idea to wear a suit there! We were inspired by the look that pop singer Taylor Swift was wearing:

We all know the one important rule is that you shouldn’t look prettier than the bride, and the suit will make you look sophisticated and little more laid back. The only time you mustn’t wear a suit to the wedding is… when a bride is such a femme fatale and decides to wear a suit herself! This is what happened with Estonian supermodel Karmen Pedaru and her wedding. Yes, she decided to wear a white suit instead of all the high fashion designer dresses that were sent to her for the occasion!

3. Date night and cocktail parties (formal or not)

If you are going to a cocktail party and decide to wear a suit, always keep in mind what kind of cocktail party it is. If you are planning to have a fun night with friends or going to a date and feeling risque, you could be more playful and seductive by “forgetting” to put a shirt under your blazer.

BUT never do that if you are going to have some cocktails with colleagues or business partners. A look at Emma Watson is the way to go: reserved and modest, yet extremely elegant and feminine:

For women the rule for wearing a suit is just as simple as for men: the suit must fit your body perfectly! We have so many clothes to choose from the department stores and it is still so hard to find something that fits you perfectly.
